The present committee consists of individuals from diverse backgrounds who were voted into place in 2013 and are eligible for re-election in 2016. The Senior Voice Forum has over 2,000 older people on its database.
Committee members work with all statutory authorities and voluntary organisations in an effort to advance the provision of user involvement and consultation when planning, designing, providing and implementing services which older people access. Partnership organisations include Age UK Mid Mersey, The Clincal Commissioning Group (CCG), St Helens Council, NHS England, Care & Repair England, Helena Housing, Future North West, The National Pensioner’s Conference, Halton & St. Helens Voluntary Community Action (VCA) and Community Empowerment Networks. The Committee also have links with younger people in the hope that they will leave a legacy of citizenship to be proud of.
